The Seven Sorrows of Mary Devotion

Mother of Sorrows

During the 14th century, St. Bridget of Sweden (1303-1373) received a revelation from the Virgin Mary that seven graces would be granted to anyone who made devotions to the Holy Mother and her Seven Sorrows.

The Seven Sorrows

1. The prophecy of Simeon (Luke 2:34, 35).
2. The flight into Egypt (Matthew 2:13,14).
3. The loss of the Child Jesus in the temple (Luke 2:43-45).
4. The meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the Cross.
5. The Crucifixion.
6. The piercing of the side of Jesus and the taking down of the Body of Jesus from the Cross.
7. The burial of Jesus.

The Seven Graces

1. Peace in the family.
2. Enlightenment about divine mysteries.
3. Consolation in times of pain. The Mother's presence in the devotee's work.
4. Prayers granted as long as they do not conflict with the will of God and the sanctification of souls.
5. Help in spiritual battles and constant protection.
6. Help and comfort at the moment of death. Devotees will see the Holy Mother's face.
7. All sins forgiven. Devotees will bypass purgatory and be taken directly into heaven.

The Seven Sorrows Devotion

Honor the Holy Blessed Mother daily by saying seven Hail Mary's with each of the seven sorrows and meditating on her tears and sorrows.

A Seven Sorrows Prayer

Holy Mother, you willingly endured the pain and suffering along with your son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. You felt every pain. You wept at every blow. You suffered the way all mothers suffer when their children are taken away from this world. We suffer with you. And honor your great love and devotion. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Help America

There are many books, CDs, and DVDs available to help us pray the Rosary. Please pray ceaselessly to the Virgin Mary to HELP AMERICA. Our country is under attack by people who want to end our religious freedom, our freedom of speech, and our ability to make independent decisions. With God's help, we can defeat the forces of evil that are trying to harm America and the American people.

Mary: The Ivory Tower

Mary is often called "Turris Eburnea," the Ivory Tower. When the apostles denied Christ and ran away from Roman persecution, Mary stood at the foot of the cross and remained an ivory tower of strength for her son, Jesus Christ. She demonstrated her love, humility, and strength, steadfast in her faith and devotion to God. She is a role model for all women and all Christians everywhere.

The day after Palm Sunday 2019, Notre Dame burned down in Paris. This remarkable Gothic structure was a tower of strength which survived war, revolution, and secularism. But impotent French officials allowed it to burn to the ground. These officials, so deeply entrenched in secularism and socialism, have vowed to rebuild it. But the spiritual love and devotion which inspired the original Notre Dame may be gone forever. I pray that I am wrong. I pray that the people of France will reclaim their Catholic heritage and find renewed strength in their faith. I pray that they will defeat the evil of socialism and the intolerance of the European Union. I pray that Europe and Great Britain will return to our Lord, Jesus Christ, and build a new Union of Faith that will last forever.

A few days later, a professor attempted to burn down St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. St. Patrick's has long been a symbol of Catholic unity in a city which has been corrupted by liberal politics and insanity. Thankfully, this attack was foiled. But I pray it will be a wake-up call to the people of New York that something is dreadfully wrong in their city. An attack on St. Patrick's is an attack on God Himself. It's an attack on freedom. It's an attack on the United States Constitution, which grants religious liberty to all believers.

During this Holy Week, I pray that ALL Catholics and ALL Christians will band together in the name of Jesus Christ to defend America, our religious freedom, our faith, and our remarkable President.
